This isn’t Gomez’s first hosting gig — the Texas native manned the mic at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards earlier this year, and interviewed guests for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards 2012 oscar Pre-Show last month.
2011 has been Gomez’s year. She released her highly anticipated third album, ‘When the Sun Goes Down,’ in June; released her new movie, ‘Monte Carlo,’ in July; and launched her first headlining tour that same month. Before hitting the EMAs, the singer will head to Canada for a 12-date trek with her band, The Scene.
